CFS Macro ZIS 42 FIX File. CFS Version of a WWII ground vehicle. Fix file with my four api macros of Zis 42 half-track, now using the default scale 1. 0, which is adjusted automatically by 0. 034 factor to obtain the accurate scale in CFS1. The new six files with API extension, replace the old same files. (For scenery design in CFS2 or FS2000, you can use scale between 0. 9 to 1. 1, but with 1. 0 is OK to CFS1). The ZIS-42 was A half-track cargo truck produced on the basis of the ZIS-5V. Inspired by similar German and French designs, Russian halftrack development started in the late 30s, resulting in the somehow crude looking GAZ-60 and ZiS-22 halftracks, both based on civilian wheeled trucks. In 1942, ZiS combined the ZiS-5V with the halftrack suspension and called it ZiS-42, according to

Of both types, almost 6, 000 were produced until 1945, some carrying the domestic 25mm and 37mm AT guns. Underpowered and without a driven front axle, the ZiS-42 (M) wasnt the definite solution for the notorious bad road conditions in Russia. Due to the fact that the ZIS-42M version consumed 55 to 60 liters of fuel per 100 km traveled on roads, the trucks were equipped with a 300 liter capacity fuel tank. The ZIS-42M was the result of modernization of the ZIS-42. It was produced in 1942 1943, and had a more powerful ZIS-16 engine and a number of small improvements (for example. a protective style grill in front of the radiator and headlight). From 1942 until 1944 production of ZIS-42 and ZIS-42M trucks amounted to 5, 931 pieces. Tech. Data. This macro was tested only in CFS1 sceneries, but I believe that can work without problems in CFS2-3 and FS2000-2002. All mine API macros, could be included on objects libraries with crash detection (for CFS missions), but must be distributed with the original API-MACRO copyright.
