87N Southampton Heliport, NY. This is a public helipad, the only public helipad on Long Island outside of an airport, that services the town of Southampton, New York. Air taxi operations are common out of this heliport. It shares a CTAF with Mattituck Airport (21N) to the north, but since flight simulator X does not have helicopter AI traffic (unless you have an AI package installed for it) you really dont need it anyways. Airport Remarks Wind Indicator: Yes, Not Lighted Caution trees and houses in close proximity to helipad (dependent on Autogen settings) NOISE SENSITIVE AREA DUE TO HOUSES NEARBY. NO IDLING OR WAITING ON HELIPAD PERMITTED.
