FS2002 General Dynamics F-16XL Super Falcon General Dynamics F-16XL, an arrow-shaped wing, advanced performance experiment from F-16 Fighting Falcon. As the first experimental model of F-16E, F-16XL made its initial flight in July 1982, but with all its nice-looking delta wing configuration, F-16XL failed to be officially adopted after all. Two prototypes were transferred to NASA in 1992 to be employed for HSCT research activities there. By Shigeru Tanaka
