NEW ORLEANS, November 1, 2002 -- Today marks the most recent in an ongoing series of growth spurts for Altair Virtual Airways. Hub operations begin today at Manchester Airport (UK), offering both domestic and international flights.
Altair Virtual is a world-wide virtual airline offering service from seven hubs in the United States, Brazil and the Netherlands. Expansion into Manchester marks the second European hub to be opened by the one year old airline. In typical Altair VA spirit, a seasoned team of professionals will manage the Hub in Manchester. Alan McFaul will serve as the Manchester Hub Manager, and Santanu Nandy will serve as Assistant Hub Manager. McFaul and Nandy have spend the past several weeks creating a comprehensive set of routes for the hub and they are eager to officially start operations with inaugural services commencing on November 1st.
Since launching operations in October, 2001, Altair Virtual Airline pilots have logged in excess of 10,000 hours.
